An eye-catching almost futuristic interpretation of the classic rocking chair. A modern, dynamic piece of furniture built for comfort and which accommodates a variety of sitting positions. The shape of the rocking chair was partially inspired by a shell. This gives it a beautiful organic design which is raw on the outside but smooth and refined on the inside. A piece of furniture that provides a unique experience of inner tranquility. The steel frame has been constructed without any transverse lines thus accentuating the floating appearance of the chair. 10 mm single-piece wood shell formed in the largest form-tensioning tool using patented German Reholz 3D veneer technology. Specify: Oak, Walnut or Makassar.  The base  is chrome-plated. Made by Fredericia in Denmark. Special order: 12 weeks.

The business is closely connected to the name of Børge Mogensen and it produces the majority of the famous furniture architect’s classics. Since the beginning of the 1990s, co-operation with some of today’s best Danish designers has drawn renewed attention to Fredericia Furniture, the collection of which comprises some of the most talked about and prized furniture in recent years.
Fredericia Furniture’s history dates back to 1911 when the Limited Liability Company Fredericia Stolefabrik was founded. In 1955, 30-year-old Andreas Graversen took over the share capital and set a new and ambitious course for the company. Andreas Graversen was a former business manager with the Danish cooperative FDB where he had met the furniture architect Børge Mogensen. Together they initiated a targeted effort to renew the factory’s collection with high-quality furniture. This heralded the beginning of a close co-operation and friendship, which bore fruit in the form of some of the greatest post-war classics and which continued until Børge Mogensen’s premature death in 1972.
