| Using an European musical instrument as inspiration, The Scatola was designed as a unique piece with special cut-out designs on its doors which were based on the paper fold and cut technique. These openings are laser cut with remarkable precision, this, combined with the high quality pure white finish make this piece an object of prestige in any room you place it. The cuts are very similar in design to those of a musical instrument and substitute knobs to open the credenza. This item was manufactured in a limited numbered edition and each unit includes a signed certificate engraved in the inner side of one of it's doors. Available in pure white and oak. Wood veneer over MDF. Made in Portugal by Tema. | ||

TemaHome was founded as Norema Portuguesa in 1981 by the marriage of
the Norwegian Norema SA and the Portuguese Mendes Godinho SA with
the desire to combine Norway's high technology with the Portuguese
efficiency and affordable costs to produce furniture. Between 1984
and 1994, the company manufactured a line of modular furniture for
some of the world's largest retailers which contributed to the
improvement of its production and decreased its costs. In 1995, the
Norwegian partners took complete ownership of the company and
started to produce kitchen, bathroom and living furniture
exclusively to the Norwegian market where it maintained its own
flagship stores. Today, TemaHome produces a line of contemporary furniture and decorative accents combining modern lines and award winning designs by some of the most respected Portuguese designers and is the largest Portuguese exporter of wood furniture. With the slogan "Living Your Dreams," TemaHome designers focus on individuality, realizing that people and their needs are different. Portugal is a land of lush green vegetation and beautiful clear blue seas. Their green heritage and deep respect for mother nature is a constant in every day life. The Portuguese soul has always been in balance with the environment, way before that was a global trend.
