As "Global Surfers, Travelers, Marketers and Lifestyle enthusiast" Johnny and Mike the founders of Maku Furnishings have experienced some of the most incredible people and parts of the world; in particular that of the Southeastern Pan Asian communities within Indonesia and more specifically the kind and gentle people of Bali. Through these travels the concept of Maku was born. The availability of plantation grown, reclaimed and sustainable raw materials, ample and quality production resources combined with the distinctly artesian work of the Indonesian people create furnishing unlike anything available in today's marketplace. Resulting in a challenge to the way business is looked at within the "cookie cutter" mass producers that are most prominent in the outdoor and casual living sector.
