The products on this line are hand made in Bangkok, Thailand using the finest wood and materials available. This exquisite furniture features Water Hyacinth, an
aquatic plant abundant in Thailand. Ingenious Thai artists weave stalks of water hyacinth together to create this elegant furniture. The natural texture of water
hyacinth absorbs light, which gives it a soft but masculine appearance. The dried stalks are durable and breathable making them suitable for any climate.
It is easy to care for and is naturally resistant to deterioration and fading. All Teak Wood is aged and dried before purchased for manufacturing, then dried
again at the factory before construction begins. This ensures that it will not crack or warp even in the driest environments. Construction begins with carpenters building
a solid wooden frame. The frames are then sent to the weaving factory, where dried stalks of water hyacinth are hand braided and woven over spines of rattan.
As the braids are created and woven together, artisans tack the braids to the wooden frame every other loop. This attention to detail ensures that the water hyacinth
will remain in place and not shift or become lose with time.
